Mike Thomas

Mike Thomas joined KCG in 2022 as the Vice President of Design Services. He brings with him a strong background in Tax Credit Development and Design with various other local Multi-Family Development Companies where he’s held the roles of Architect of Record, Architectural Project Manager, and Director of Design.

Born and raised in Indiana, Mike attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Architecture. He started his career in Florida working mostly in high-end residential design and earned his architectural license there in 2007. Mike returned to the Midwest, eventually settling in the Indianapolis area in 2012 where he established a career in the multi-family market with a focus on LIHTC projects.

Today, Mike is licensed to practice architecture in 22 states and has been the architect of record on over $600 Million worth of construction encompassing over 6,000 apartments throughout the country. His portfolio includes numerous projects that have achieved green certifications including LEED Silver and Gold, NGBS, Enterprise Green and Energy Star.

When not in the office, Mike is usually travelling with his wife and two young sons.
