Derek Clark

Senior Finance Associate

Derek Clark is a Senior Financial Associate at KCG Companies. In this role, he supports the finance team in managing equity and debt relationships across the firm’s national portfolio. He plays a key role in advancing projects from credit reservation through financial closing including complex coordination with lenders, syndicators, and internal teams to secure equity and debt financing. Derek also supports ongoing capital calls and manages the conversion and stabilization process to ensure long-term financial performance post-closing.

Prior to joining KCG in 2021, Derek worked at Crowe, a top ten nationally ranked public accounting firm. He gained extensive experience across audit and assurance services, including financial statement audits, benefit plan audits, and client reviews. He regularly handled financial analytics, journal entries, and the preparation of financial statements and brings a deep foundation in both accounting and finance functions to the KCG team.

Derek earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Taylor University. He also obtained his license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Derek lives in the Indianapolis area with his wife and daughter and loves spending time with them along with his family and friends. He enjoys sports such as basketball, football, soccer, and golf. Originally from the Columbus, Ohio area, Derek is a big Ohio State football and basketball fan.
